The Firm has a nationwide reputation for excellence in the defense of all types of white collar criminal and related matters. We regularly represent both individuals and entities in connection with grand jury, agency and internal investigations, as well as trial and parallel civil and regulatory proceedings.

Our attorneys have a wide range of experience as both prosecutors and defense counsel which enables us to bring a unique approach to the resolution of these cases. We have successfully tried many criminal cases, but we view our most successful cases as the ones where we are able to persuade the prosecution not to pursue criminal charges, or to terminate the case on favorable terms. We have substantial depth of experience in all aspects of criminal matters including investigation, trial and appellate practice.

We have handled investigations and trials related to virtually every conceivable white collar criminal and related allegation including those prosecuted or investigated by components of the U.S. Department of Justice; the California Attorney General, numerous District Attorney and City Attorney offices, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Internal Revenue Service, the FBI, Customs, U.S. Postal Service, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

We have handled voluntary disclosure and amnesty applications to various federal agencies; suspension, debarment and exclusion proceedings brought by Medicare, Medi-Cal, components of the Dept. of Defense, EPA, and GSA; and disciplinary proceedings brought by a wide variety of California licensing agencies including the State Bar, the Medical Board, the Board of Psychology, the Board of Accountancy, the Dept. of Real Estate, the Dept. of Insurance, and the Veterinary Medical Board.
