litigation , securities, family, employment, real estate, tax, personal
injury, intellectual property and criminal law), as well as malicious

verdict for attorney after month-long jury trial awarding him “quantum
meruit” fees in excess of $1.6 million and deciding in his favor on claims
of malpractice.
Nonsuit
obtained after two weeks of jury trial for international law firm in suit
alleging malpractice and securities law violations.
Judgment
obtained for law firm after two-week-long bench trial on claims of fraud
and malpractice by title company alleging that law firm misrepresented
status of quiet title litigation. Affirmed on appeal.
Judgment
obtained for law firm after two week arbitration alleging malpractice.
Nonsuit
obtained for law firm following successful motions in limine on eve of
trial to exclude expert witness and limiting damages, including successful
appeal. Affirmed on appeal.
Resolution
on behalf of deputy district attorney in nationally prominent case involving
claims by a father allegedly wrongfully charged in the molestation of his
daughter.
Won
summary judgment for public attorney and public agency on claims of
malpractice by a former Port District Commissioner. Win was achieved on
eve of trial through writ proceedings. Considered case of extreme
importance for public attorneys. Published opinions.
Resolved
complex class action litigation against law firm that had prosecuted wage
and hours' litigation involving claim of $100 million.
Numerous
dismissals of malicious prosecution cases following successful anti-SLAPP
suit motions and successful defense of subsequent appeals.
Numerous
motions for summary judgment and demurrers won on various theories for
lawyers and law firms.
